Welcome to Mrs. Ebel's webpage!
For this 2025-2026 school year, I am the 7th-grade counselor. I am proud to say that I have worked in the Walnut Valley Unified School District since 1999. This is my 11th year at Chaparral Middle School, and my 31st year in the education field. Throughout my career, I have served as a teacher, Elementary Learning Specialist (ELS), Title I Coordinator, Intervention Teacher, Elementary School Counselor, and currently an SSRA at Chaparral Middle School.
I am incredibly excited to work with you and your 7th grader this school year. The 7th-grade year is exciting in middle school. My role is to provide student support in the following domains: academic, personal/social, and career development.
Google Classroom:
I have a 7th-grade Counseling Google Classroom that I would highly encourage every 7th-grader to enroll in. If you are not connected to this Google Classroom, please have your child email me. I will provide your child with the classroom code. It is an excellent way for me to communicate and send out information to all students. I will continue to update this Google Classroom throughout our school year with valuable information.

Schedule Change Request Form:
Please use this 7th-grade link if you would like to request a schedule change. The following reasons for a schedule change CANNOT be honored:
1. Request for a higher math placement (Students will be taking an assessment within the first two weeks of school in their math classes. Changes will be made based on the results.)
2. Request for a specific teacher
3. Request to be in the same class as another student
There is no guarantee that your request will be made. I will do my best to make the changes. Based on space and availability, it may take more than two weeks for any changes to be made. For electives, I CANNOT guarantee a student will get his/her 1st choice.
The last day to request a schedule change is Friday, August 22, 2025.
