School Psychologist
School Psychologists assist students at all levels from elementary school to college. We act along with school counselors as advocates for students' well-being, and as valuable resources for their educational and personal advancement. We may help students in processing issues such as bullying, disabilities, LGBTQ issues, low self-esteem, poor academic performance, social anxiety, problems with authority and problems at home.
The best part of my job is that every day brings something different. Whether it be helping students process their problems and plan goals and action, listen to concerns about academic, emotional, or social problems, study and implement behavioral management techniques, or participate in special education by administering psychological tests-every day brings something new and rewarding to the table!
